Alright, family, let’s talk about control.
I know we like to say, “God, I trust You,” but if we’re honest, a lot of us have trust issues. We’re out here making plans, setting goals, and then trying to force them into place. And when things don’t work out, we panic. We scramble. We start striving instead of trusting.
But Proverbs 16:3 gives us a life-changing principle: “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” The key here is that our role is to commit—His role is to establish. When we get this mixed up, we end up exhausted and disappointed.
Today, I want to challenge you to actually let go. Not in a “I’m saying I’m letting go but still low-key stressing about it” kind of way. But in a “God, this is too heavy for me. I need You to take it” kind of way.
Think about it—what would change if you genuinely trusted God with your plans? How would your day look different if you woke up and said, “God, establish my steps. I’m not going to force it. I’m just going to follow You.”
You don’t have to hustle for what God has already planned for you. You just have to be obedient. Excellence is not about having perfect plans—it’s about having a surrendered heart.
So here’s your challenge: Write down one thing you’re releasing to God today. Say it out loud, pray over it, and then move through your day knowing that God can do more with your surrender than you can do with your striving.
