Meditation: Joy Comes in the Morning

Psalm 30:5 doesn’t skip over the sorrow.

It says, “Weeping may endure for a night…”

But then it says something bold:

“…joy comes in the morning.”

Joy comes.

It doesn’t wait for perfection.

It doesn’t need an invitation.

It shows up—like light breaking through a door you thought was locked.

Here’s what I want you to know today:

You don’t have to fake strength.

You don’t have to minimize your night.

But you can expect morning.

And you can receive joy—even before everything’s resolved.

Joy isn’t fluffy—it’s fuel.

It lowers your stress, resets your brain, and opens your spirit.

You’re not immature for craving delight.

You’re not lazy for needing laughter.

You’re human. And God wired you for joy.

So today, give yourself permission to reclaim it.

Here’s your truth to carry,

“Joy is not a reward. It’s my inheritance. And I welcome it today.”

Take a breath.

Let that truth find you.

You don’t need to force it—just receive it.

Dreamer, your night season is not forever.

And your joy isn’t on backorder.

It’s already on the way.

So if joy knocks today—through a song, a breeze, a laugh, a hug—don’t shut the door.

Let it in.

Because even in your pain, even in your waiting, even in the “not yet”—

Joy. Is. Coming.

And it’s coming for you.
